I really like the program, but I can't access my sd card with it. It says, "unreadable".
Used to be a great app on an Amazon Fire. Latest Google Play version won't let me select a directory on an SD card, for slideshow. It used to allow that. This is the premium version I purchased. The Amazon Appstore version seems to allow SD card directories. However my premium purchase from Google Play is not recognized on the Amazon Appstore version. Tried emailing developer on this, but no response. So not sure whether to replace with something else.
The recent Jan 11 update is no longer allowing manual photo selections, please go back to the original way of seletion. UPDATED REVIEW. I contacted the app author who was very quick to respond and provided me all the help I needed to get the photo frame app working again for me.
Edit: it's fixed! Old review: The free version works fine. But since this latest update, this version won't start up. A blank white screen comes up when I tap the app and then closes after a few seconds.
Can't edit reviews. The app started working with Flickr again, so must've been on Flickr's side. Loving it!!
Works great. But now that Flickr had moved to Amazon Servers, it no longer connects to my Flickr account. Hope it's just a small update that's required.
Android 9 startup fixed despite the problems doing so. Finally have my favourite photo app working again! Thanks! Post Android 9 comments here about not starting should probably be ignored now as outdated.
Excellent app. No problems apart from a few Chromecast niggles I've chatted with the developer about. Now works on Android 9!
Jul 2018: I used to like this app, but lately, the main features I paid for no longer work. Mainly, the ability to select folders on the SD card, and the ability to save a selection as a shortcut. I emailed the author, and he responded quickly, but wasn't able to solve the issues. That's too bad. Update Jan 29 2019: Still cannot select folders on the SD card, and cannot save a shortcut to a slideshow. This paid for app is useless to me.
This is the best photo frame app I have found so far. I particularly like (1) works properly on several devices I have tried it on (2) pulls photos from a network drive (e.g. USB stick plugged in to my router) (3) Auto-start mechanism works well (4) Displays all the JPEG formats that i have thrown at it so far (which is more than can be said for some apps) (5) Flexible options for things like transitions, caching, photo order, etc. I bought the premium version right away - very good for the price.
